Grab your tent, sleeping bag, your family, and a few friends and get ready for an overnight adventure at Oakland Zoo. Families should arrive at 5:00 p.m. sharp to set up camp. After everyone has arrived and is set up, your overnight adventure begins. Start your night with pizza, salad bar, fruit, and drinks during dinner. Next explore the Wayne and Gladys Valley Children’s Zoo on an exciting guided twilight tour with a special behind the scenes. Afterwards create enrichment treats for one of the Zoo’s specially selected animals. Head to the Wildlife Theater for an amazing show with Storyteller Suellen Primost and the Nylon Zoo and finish off around the campfire for s’mores before settling in for the night.
Wake up in the morning to the sound of the animals and enjoy a hot breakfast in the Island Cafe. After breakfast, have an up-close encounter with some education animals not on exhibit in the Zoo. Join your guide for a morning tour of the Zoo and finish off the experience by observing the animals enjoy your hand made treats created the night before. Return to camp to take down your tents and pack up your things, but feel free to stick around the Zoo since your program includes admission.
