WHAT YOU'LL DO
Learn to code, create and innovate in this empowering weeklong class. Explore Tynker, a coding platform just for kids, and try your hand at experimental music, animated storytelling, code-crafted art, game design and more—all through the power of programming. No prior coding experience required.
Start the week by laying the foundation for your future programming prowess, learning the first building blocks of code in Tynker as you create a live scene with a digital drumbeat. BE VISIONARY to turn story ideas into coded reality, animating characters and interactions on the Tynker stage. Use code to solve design challenges and craft exquisite virtual works of art, then let the games begin as you design custom characters for your own versions of video game classics. BE COLLABORATIVE by working with your fellow coders to design experiences that two people can play at a time, boldly sharing out—and getting inspired by—the projects you and your classmates have created throughout the week.
NOTE:
This weeklong class is more than just innovation-igniting projects—it’s an immersive experience full of delightful details, including interactive games, energizing music, snacks (see Additional Prep, below) and dress-up days, designed to build community, bolster confidence and deliver loads of camp-away-from-camp fun.
Kids will have ongoing access to their Tynker accounts so they can keep working on their virtual creations after class.
