What You'll Do
Twist and shout (or gasp, or wink) with an expressive turning toy you design yourself. Explore your own features and Be Reflective as you consider how they change to convey different feelings. Flex your expressive drawing skills as you sketch three uniquely emotive mouths and pairs of eyes. Wrap your creations around two cans, add additional features and accessories, and you’ll have a twistable toy that can mix and match moods with hilarious results!
What You'll Need
Materials
- 2-3 standard-size (approx. 3″Dia. x 4.25″H) food cans, all the same size, either opened (with no sharp edges) or closed (mark lids to note what’s in each as labels will get papered over)
- 1-2 sheets of standard-size white paper
- Scissors
- Tape (clear preferred)
- Pencil
- Eraser
- 1 set of drawing tools (washable markers, colored pencils, crayons)
- Optional: 12″ ruler
Technology
- Computer or tablet with speaker and camera
- Internet access
- Zoom application installed
- Signed in with your child’s name
- Unmuted (the instructor will manage class muting/unmuting)
