YLMH is a 4-day leadership program for teens ages 13-18 who are interested in developing critical skills for the working world including public speaking, professionalism, teamwork, and collaboration. Also, the participation in YLMH is required to be able to apply and interview for the Youth Action Council (YAC) 2022-2023 fiscal year. YLMH gives teens a sense of empowerment and an opportunity to contribute and serve their community.
The program strives to help teen leaders foster connections with each other in a setting geared specifically to developing leadership skills. Participants will meet city officials such as the City Mayor, and other city and community leaders. Also, youth resources and tools will be provided by local organizations in the mental health, financial, and leadership fields. We prioritize inclusivity, so scholarships are available.
