About

Learn the fundamentals of Java programming in a small classroom environment. No prior experience is required.

This will be the third summer of teaching programming to beginners for lead teacher, Stephanie Campa. Stephanie first learned to program computers in middle school and loves helping others discover how empowering it can be to create with code. Stephanie is a junior at Stanford University, studying Computer Science and Education.

Coding Kickstart is intended to give students ages 9-13 a fun introduction to programming in Java. We’ll cover basic operations and assignment statements, if statements, for and while loops, randomization, and a bit of graphics. No computer science experience is expected!

Get a head start on the AP Computer Science curriculum, or just try your hand at coding in a low pressure, small class environment. Classes are maxed at 8 students, so you can be sure you will be getting the attention and help you need!
