Level 4 is the last level in the Preparatory Division. Flamenco and Modern dance classes become part of their curriculum. In addition, girls begin dancing en pointe. This milestone step in a young dancers training requires a slow methodical approach to ensure that the strength needed to dance en pointe successfully is addressed. Due to the difficulty of pointe work, there are 2 sections of pointe for Level 4 students. Class A is designed for students who are new to Level 4 and are therefore going on pointe for the first time. Class B is designed for students who are returning to Level 4 and will be in their second year of pointe studies. Students should expect two consecutive years of study for completion of Level 4.
