Salamander’s Summer Adventures is a different kind of camp for a different kind of summer. Five one-week sessions are available for Daisies, Brownies and Juniors.
Our unduplicated and affordable ($75 per week) program is flexible, fun and full of spirit. Salamander’s Summer Adventures will channel the feelings of camp — sisterhood, anticipation, accomplishment and joy — into campers’ homes. This camp will fit your family’s schedule because we listened to families when designing this opportunity. Salamander’s Summer Adventures combines hands-on badge work with treasured all-camp traditions and adds live events where girls connect with fellow campers, familiar counselors and high-flying Girl Scout alums.
Girls will also connect with our brand-new summer mascot: Salamander. She’s a small but mighty amphibian out to explore her corner of the world. There’s no hiding under a rock for this Salamander! Her adventures will reflect the adventures girls have each week.
Aug. 3-7: Cyber Sleuth: Did you know computers speak their own languages and information can live forever on the Internet? There is no better time than 2020 for you to dive into technology and boost the skills needed to be a safe and informed computer user. Daisies, Brownies and Juniors will work progressively through their level’s three Cybersecurity badges: Cybersecurity Basics, Cybersecurity Safeguards and Cybersecurity Investigator.
Here's why Salamander's Summer Adventures is the right choice for your girl:
Videos guiding your girl through badges and camp projects are recorded so they are available whenever it is convenient for your family. Girls will love the videos because they star our camp counselors!
Live events (two per week) take place in the early evening so parent work hours and family dinners are not disrupted.
Each camper receives a keepsake camp box in the mail with a “do not open until Monday” sticker on the outside. When it is time to open the camp box, the camper tears in and finds to her delight a note from her camp counselor plus a camp T-shirt, stuffed animal and other fun items.
The box also contains items and instruction needed to earn two or three badges.
The box brings items for camp traditions like a friendship bracelet, camp rock and tie-dye. We can’t have camp without s’mores, so the box contains those ingredients, too!
The camper’s happiness upon opening the box is just the beginning of her lively week of virtual camp. Each day, she will work on badges, learn camp songs and make connections.
