Acro (or acrobatic arts) is gymnastic fundamentals for dancers. Acro is designed to promote excellence in flexibility, strength, balance, limbering, tumbling, basic contortion, and partner/group stunting for dancers. Learning acro will improve the overall technique of a dancer in all genres, and will move your dancer one step closer to perfecting their technique in their passion. Danielle’s Acro targets students from Primary to Grade 5.
Saturday Acro/Body Work class will consist of core connectivity, inversion balance and strength, and basic acrobatic skills. Body work is included in class to develop deep muscle connections and movement from a somatic (body/mind) approach. Acro work will be based upon progressions, dancer modifications, and safety. Class will be a Yin/Yang style: students will explore both Inner Connectivity and Outer Mobility. Connie’s Acro focuses on Vocational students.
This class is for mature beginners and children who have earned their Primary certificate. Uniform: as for Grade One.
