Pottery is an art that has been practiced for ages and has evolved through years, tools, countries and cultures. This camp will enable kids to explore all the fundamental building techniques, both ancient and modern, giving them a chance to give their imagination a live form! Designed for varying age groups and skill levels, our camp has the right balance of theory, application, and fun. Whether you want to learn just for the thrill of creating something or considering it a step into a creative career, we would love to see you benefit from the therapeutic and creative properties of clay art.
Working with clay, children use both their small and large muscles and improve their dexterity. Immersing in the process, they won’t just learn pottery but also feel the pride of accomplishing and the joy of comradeship. Kids will get to fine-tune their aesthetic discipline and will transport to the realm of this fine art.
Children will take a finished product home to cherish the fruit of their labor.
Give a break to the digital world, let their little hands get dirty and let them delight in this world of mud. This camp will include:
- Hand-building techniques of working with clay
- Decoration techniques
- Application of glazes
- Introduction to the potter’s wheel
- Theory to understand the material, tools, and techniques
