The Year-Round Program is designed for students who are interested in learning art in a group environment. Students will learn basic art skills in both 2-D and 3-D art: drawing, painting, sculpture design and mixed media. Mediums, such as pencil, charcoal, ink, color pencil, acrylic, watercolor and gouache, will be used.
While we teach techniques and concepts, such as color theory, composition, and line quality, our goal is to provide comprehensive art education tailored to the individual student. We encourage students to participate in regional and national art contests to further realize their potential. We also have a yearly student art exhibition for the general public.
We accept students in grades 1–12. Prior art experience is not required. Classes are once a week and 2 hours long. Please check our class schedule for a list of classes.
New students interested in the year-round program are required to have an evaluation prior to starting art class.
