Apprentice in the craft and folklore of blacksmithing 1 weekend a month. Train with our Artisans Guild and learn to blacksmith at the Trackers forge by fire, hammer, and anvil. In this year-round program we forge tapers, split, twist and punch hot metal to make aesthetically pleasing and useful items.
The Artisans Guild
As a Blacksmithing Apprentice you join our Artisans Guild. Our best educators and returning students guide Apprentices as they learn as a team.
The Apprenticeship
Apprentices work together as part of a powerful learning team. They connect with like-minded peers while building authentic skills and sharing a deep relationship with nature. This is not just a club, this can be a life-long path of study in an ancient arts.
Bladesmith Apprenticeship Arrowheads, Knives & Axes! Forge your own by fire & hammer. Move & fold metal on the anvil. Immerse yourself in the craft of bladesmithing 1- weekend a month. Apprentice with our expert mentors. Learn shop safety and the craft of metal bending.
No Prior Blacksmithing Experience Required
Our Blacksmithing Apprenticeship works best with varying levels of experience. Similar to a martial arts dojo, more advanced students are occasionally charged to help teach a skill to beginning students. With oversight from a guild mentor, this proven method helps creates a true learning community.

Special Needs
Some special needs can be accommodated, please contact for more details.
A few classes offer the following text regarding special needs students:
"We believe all children should have an IEP! Every person learns in a different way, at their own pace. Individualized, project-based learning means being intensely familiar with all one’s students abilities and needs. We will trust our teachers to present curriculum in a way that provides the right level of challenge at the right time. When we observe that a student could benefit from additional support, we will work with the parents and call in outside resources as necessary to help provide the tools to succeed for that child."
