Harbor House provides a safe place for opportunities, resources, and relationships to be shared so families in Oakland can flourish. Since 1972, Harbor House has faithfully served thousands of families through high-quality programs that nurture the heart, soul, mind, and body. We offer after-school enrichment, leadership development, food and clothing distribution, and economic development.
The Harbor House Youth Leadership Program will develop and encourage high school students in Oakland to be agents of positive change in their community. Participants will have opportunities to discover and use their inherent gifts and talents, develop safe and caring relationships with peers, adults, and mentor students in our K-5 after school program. In our monthly trainings, interns will receive the encouragement, tools, and resources they need to finish high school and go on to higher education.
Interns will work two afternoons per week – either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/ Thursday.
