The String Orchestra class offers an opportunity for beginning string players to experience the fun of playing together. It's important for string players to learn to play with others in the early stage in addition to their private lessons. This class is ideal for those who have had a few private instructions on their string instrument and are seeking more ways of having fun with their instrument. Repertoire may include folk tunes, classical music, movie tunes and pop tunes. Some basic elements of music theory are discussed, such as transposition, key signatures, and musical terms indicating tempo. There will be a mini performance at the last class. No audition is required for placement.
