The Hall of Famers II curriculum is designed as a progression for those who have completed at least one Hall of Famers I season and have shown competence in executing general baseball skills. It is expected that a child enrolled in Hall of Famers II can run the bases without instruction, can hit off a tee and can have some success hitting moving pitches, can field ground balls and basic air balls and can make a legitimate baseball throw. If a child is significantly lacking in any of these skills it may be best that they re-enroll in Hall of Famers I until coach recommends that they move up. Objectives:
- Base recognition and proper base running techniques.
- Follow more complicated directions from fundamentals of Hall of Famers.
- Five steps of hitting with focus on proper form including full swing and hip rotation.
- Correct throwing mechanics emphasizing accuracy and distance.
- Proper fielding technique, keeping their body in front of the ball.
- Using the baseball glove for fielding of line drives and pop fly catches.
- Teamwork.
- Game situations.
- Fitness and agility
