Achiever Christian School (ACS)

About

Achiever Christian School (ACS) is a private Christian school operated as a ministry of FBC/Church on the Hill (COTH) in San Jose, California. Founded in 1971, ACS has successfully grown and now includes a Preschool and Elementary through 6th grade. ACS maintains membership in the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Our Goal: To lay a foundation for our students to excel: academically, socially, emotionally, and with each other.

Our Academics: Our goal is to provide a highly academic environment where our teachers are encouraged to keep up with academic trends. We understand children learn in their own individual way just as God created them, and we support their varied learning styles. We average 18 students per class for our elementary grades. With smaller classes teachers can provide a more individualized approach to allow your student to achieve academic excellence. We value family time and we strive to provide a balanced amount of homework each night to give families quality time together.

Our Environment: We provide a safe, Christ-centered atmosphere in which students feel comfortable and secure with teachers and staff. With the changes in our world we keep our students sheltered in a loving environment.

Our Staff: Our all Christian staff have a strong faith life with solid teaching backgrounds who care about their students well being. We certify and background check all staff and must stay current with CPR and First Aid certification. Our staff receives training on emergency procedures. We make sure to keep in constant contact with our families. Our teachers are always available. We are a wonderful resource for many parents who find themselves needing help navigating the field of parenthood.

Our Community: For over 45 years Achiever Christian School has created a close community and lifelong friendships. We hold annual events and gatherings for our school community to enjoy--such as the Fall Family Blast, NERF Battles, Christmas programs and class parties, Family Day, Mother/Daughter Tea, and spring events. Families look forward to these events as much as their children do.

We are offering financial aid to families who need assistance. Please contact for details.
