This is the third course in the 5-course Java series. The rest of the object-oriented programming concepts will be covered. Other topics include file I/O, base systems, enum types and lambda expressions. Projects will get more complicated in this course as it makes use of multiple classes and files, and moves on to JavaFX, the latest Java platform to develop rich client applications.
The Java series is roughly equivalent to what is being taught at a high school Java class. Upon completion of this series, it will cover all topics in the AP Computer Science exam. Unlike the exam, this class and the series provide a complete coverage of the Java language including the use of the latest version and features which continue to evolve. It emphasizes best practices and hands-on experience.
Exercises are provided each week with valuable and insightful feedback given if submitted online.
