Get ready for an action-packed week of storytelling, poetry and narrative writing by our team of writing wizards. Our program introduces your child to writing a variety of genres like poetry, short fiction, and more. In addition to learning how to be an author, learn the techniques to become a good narrator. Cast a spell on your readers- learn how to write spellbinding stories, poems, essays, and plays! Unleash your inner writer with our narrative writing course! We will teach you how to grow and nurture the brilliant author within you. Our class will teach you how to structure and craft powerful writing. Students will learn to grow their own unique writing voice and style. We will help you create unforgettable characters, exciting story lines, and memorable details to spice up your writing.
Students participate in writing intensive exercises designed to address the elements of a story/ poem, voice, character, motifs, mood, theme, plot, and setting. Students engage in analyzing and providing peer feedback with the intention of growing and fine tuning each other’s craft.
Moreover, students will have lots of fun participating in a variety of activities including enacting their favorite characters from a story, movie or their own story characters, story line building puzzle board game (board game created by our instructor), and more. Students will also create their own books with a custom-made book cover. Every session will end with a reflection of the day.
