This is an intermediate class for students who have already taken our basic Coding Academy Summer Camp
Camp Description:
Coding, or writing instructions that a computer interprets to run programs is a fun and useful skill that is integral to the tech industry. The Roosevelt Coding Camp aims to teach youths aged 9-14 to code by writing interactive exercises and games. By the end of this one-week camp, each student will have written their own choose-your-own-adventure game with programs such as; Ruby, Scratch and Stencyl.
Required Materials for Students:
In order to participate in this camp, each student must have access to their own email account, and must be able to access this account from the Internet. Students will also need an account on Cloud9 (http://c9.io/), which will be created on the first day using the student's email address. A USB drive is optional; some students may find it helpful for saving notes, but all camp coding will be done on Cloud9.
