Frosh Start English
This freshman level English course is an opportunity for selected students to engage in analyzing a variety of texts, practicing writing skills, collaborating with peers, and developing communication skills. Additionally, students will receive support for their assigned summer English reading novel and assignment. Students must purchase the summer reading novel for class. Textbooks and technology are included. Due to the pace of this course, it is imperative that students attend the entire session. Absences are highly discouraged and must be pre-approved by Administration. Frosh Start also provides students with a chance to navigate around campus and meet new classmates before the year begins.
Frosh Start Math
Algebra 1 is the foundation for all high school math courses. The Frosh Start Math course allows students to begin the Algebra 1 curriculum in a more individualized setting with adjusted pacing. This course will introduce the student to fundamental topics in the curriculum and help them to identify and address skill gaps while building essential study skills to support success in Algebra. Due to the pace of the course, it is imperative that students attend the entire session. Absences are highly discouraged and must be pre-approved by Administration. Frosh Start also provides students with a chance to navigate around campus and meet new classmates before the year begins.
