Youth Gravity Cars

Build. Test. Adjust. Race! Gravity Cars is a no-rules miniature car building and racing competition on a large, undulating track inspired by the Nerdy Derby. Gravity Cars reward creativity, cleverness, and ingenuity.

Note: The majority of this class is being held outdoors in the protected backyard with tent coverage in order to ensure safe, physical distance between the 6 students and faculty member(s).

COVID Policies

All students must review and adhere to all of The Crucible's Health and Safety Guidelines to best protect our students and staff during this public health crisis. All students ages 12 and up must bring proof of vaccination to your first day of class. If your class is cancelled by The Crucible due to updated county guidance, we are pleased to offer you a refund for a class or session that cannot run.

What To Wear

At The Crucible, you must dress safely and appropriately. Arrive for class in all-natural fiber clothing, long pants, and closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. Nylon, polyester, spandex, or other synthetics are not allowed around machines, equipment, or processes that can produce hot fragments, sparks, or flames. Layers are encouraged as the studio can be very cold or very hot. Additional protective gear will be provided as needed. The CDC has a guide to acceptable cloth masks that help prevent the spread of infection. Bandannas will not be accepted inside The Crucible.
