Calling all Teens! The Teen Leadership Camp (TLC) is designed for youth ages 12 - 17 to develop their leadership and communication skills. This camp specifically aims to teach participants the skills needed to be effective leaders in the community. Working closely with staff, participants will engage in activities that focus on personal development, building leadership competencies, enhance communication skills, and build confidence and self-efficacy.
Participants will receive mentorship from staff, learn the value of teamwork, and practice their newly acquired skills by co-leading activities for younger campers. Lunch is not provided. Participants must bring lunch and snacks daily. Participants may bring spending money for trips. Sign up early as spaces are limited! Sessions that do not reach the minimum number of participants are subject to cancellation.
Registration fee includes: field trip admission and transportation, t-shirt, supplies, and materials.

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) Scholarship Program will ensure that qualifying San José residents have affordable access to participation in PRNS programs, classes and services. All requests are subject to available funding. Eligibility requirements may differ for each scholarship.
