Come participate in a free arts and crafts activity, hosted by the Environmental Volunteers at our EcoCenter and led by the Kids and Art Foundation!
Kids & Art is a nonprofit organization that provides art workshops for children and families/care groups that face pediatric cancer. Their mission is to improve their well-being during treatment, as survivors, and in bereavement, and to use art as healing to empower, encourage and create memorable experiences.
On December 14th one of these workshops will be held at the EcoCenter. Kids receiving pediatric care for cancer will come to display their art, as well as to create new art to display. The Environmental Volunteers encourage you to come out and support this great program. We will have plentiful art supplies and welcome you to bring your family to view the gallery and have fun creating your own art along with the kids from the Kids and Art Foundation, in a safe and inclusive environment.
Attendance is free and all art materials will be provided. Participation in art activities is optional; we encourage you to at least come to enjoy the art on display. Light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
If you are unable to make the program, the gallery will remain on display until February 1st. The EcoCenter is open on Fridays from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, and the first and third Saturday of each month from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
