ocusing on short poses (15 seconds to 2 minutes), students use different media (pen, pencil, charcoal, and watercolor) and practice techniques and exercises including blind drawing (eyes closed), to develop hand-eye coordination and to improve the liveliness and expression of their drawings of the human figure along with their overall drawing skills. Elements of drawing (lines, lost edges, connections, focal point, color, etc...), as well as strategies for gesture drawing (such as in which order to start and develop the drawing) will be addressed. This class is appropriate for all levels including beginners. Demos and hands-on critique are an important part of the class.
