The Junior Recreation Leader Training course is a leadership
development program designed to teach basic skills needed
to work and instruct effectively with children. Motivation,
organization, safety, leadership and interview tips are a few
job skills that will be learned. Participants must attend all class
sessions. Students will receive hands-on program training.
Participants successfully completing this course are eligible to
assist with the 2020 Youth Recreation Programs as a volunteer
with the City of Gilroy. All Junior Recreation Leader volunteers
must pass Department of Justice (DOJ) background process.
Mandatory Parent Meeting at Wheeler Center, Craft Room,
at 6:30pm on February 28, 2020 for the February class and
March 27, 2020 for the March class. Additional training dates
will be given at class.
