Kids interested in robotics can dive into projects and challenges using the Sphero Bolt––a programmable bot with a light sensor, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, and infrared sensor. With that kind of oomph, these robots can be coded to do anything from navigating kid-created obstacles and games to adding special effects to hand-crafted characters.
Kids can also build mobile apps and animations using drag and drop coding languages in Scratch Jr. or our own Coding Studio game and workshop. And to ensure kids can go analog when they want, they’ll be able to send encoded messages and flex their computational thinking skills while exploring coding concepts offline at the Secret Message station. Parents may want to brush up on their Morse Code if they want to keep up.
