Milestones Youth Jazz Workshop

Acerca de

Milestones Youth Jazz Workshop is a JazzFresno project offering jazz performance and education opportunities to kids in California’s Central San Joaquin Valley.

Any young musician in the upper elementary grades through high school is invited to participate. The programs are specifically targeted to kids who do not have access to jazz programs in their home schools.

The Milestones mission is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to participate in America’s true original art form and to develop the self-confidence, social skills and life-long memories that come with that participation.

The Milestones Youth Jazz Workshop inaugural season began in September 2012.

To learn more about the program or to find out how you can participate, either as a student musician, program supporter, volunteer or educator, contact the project director.

Milestones awards need-based scholarships for the school-year program. A lack of financial resources should not keep any child from participating in the program. The scholarship application is a simple one, and we encourage you to apply if finances are a concern.

All scholarship decisions will be made prior to the first rehearsal, and you will be notified by e-mail. Those interested in applying should contact the project director.
