Break out your inner "Maker" spirit while learning how to conserve essential environmental resources.
We will upcycle, recycle and mend our clothes to maximize and customize our wardrobes. Students will engage different sewing and design techniques throughout the week, using materials from their own closets as well as those provided by the camp. They will learn how to stretch their dollars at the thrift store and also explore time-tested, depression era techniques of extending the life of clothing. Up Cycle materials are included in Tuition.
Please note: Drop-In Spots are for experienced Stitchers only.
Snacks are provided, however, please have your child bring lunch as well as a few items of clothing/materials from home that would normally be discarded or donated. We will also visit a local consignment shop to get materials.
Beginning machine sewing experience required. Machines and tools are provided!
Discounts available when you purchase two or more eligible events!
