Business and economics for teens covers the basics of economics and how it relates to our everyday life. Students will explore different market systems (Monopoly, Oligopoly, Monopolistic Competition and Perfect Competition), and the 4 stages of a typical business cycle. This course serves as a good primer to help kids develop a career interest in Business or Economics. And since seemingly every kid’s dream is to open up a “lemonade stand” , we will create a “virtual” lemonade stand and use the economics topics discussed to see if it makes good business sense.
